CPR Training

Professional Resuscitation Services (PRS) delivers the complete spectrum of CPR training to all Health Professionals, Non Clinical Staff and Private Organisations.

All PRS CPR courses are aligned to the Australia and New Zealand Committee on Resuscitation Guidelines

We facilitate public CPR Training courses across Auckland on a monthly basis, or one of our highly skilled instructors can come direct to your practice throughout New Zealand (on request) and train your team all in one go. ​

Whether you're short on time or prefer full immersion, we’ve got a learning style to suit your needs offering traditional face to face training or hybrid learning formats.

PRS Character

CPR Skills

2 hours learning in either a full face to face (2hrs) or Hybrid (1hr online, 1hr in class) format. 

  • Basic Life Support Adult and AED

  • Basic Life Support Child, Infant

  • Basic management of Choking

  • ​Community management of Anaphylaxis


We recommend CPR Skills training for Non-Clinical staff, Admin teams, Health Care Assistants, Dental Technicians not undertaking restricted activities.

Immediate Responder

3 hours learning in either a full face to face (3hrs) or Hybrid (1.5hrs online, 1.5hrs in class) format. Adult collapse management plan and AED.

  • Paediatric collapse management plan

  • Team scenario practice

  • Management of Anaphylaxis

  • Airway Management (Adjuncts, Oxygen, Suction)

  • Management of Choking for Adult, Child and Infant

 

Recommended for Nurses, Pharmacists & Vaccinators.

 

Please Note: Not suitable as a revalidation for first aid unit standards 6402, 6401 or 6400

Advanced Responder

4 hours learning in either a full face to face (4hrs) or Hybrid (2hrs online, 2hrs in class) format.

  • Adult collapse management plan and AED

  • Paediatric collapse management plan

  • Manual Defibrillator

  • Team scenario practice

  • Management of Anaphylaxis

  • Airway Management (Adjuncts, Oxygen, Suction)

  • Resuscitation Drugs

  • Interosseous Access

  • Management of Choking

 

We recommend the Advanced Responder training for Nurse Practitioners & Nurses who work rurally or in an A&M/A&E setting. 

Assessed Advanced Responder

6 hours learning in a full face to face format. 

  • Adult collapse management plan and AED 

  • Paediatric collapse management plan

  • Manual Defibrillator

  • Team scenario practice

  • Management of Anaphylaxis

  • Airway Management (Adjuncts, Oxygen, Suction)

  • Resuscitation Drugs

  • Interosseous Access

  • Management of Choking

  • Knowledge and Skill assessment

 

Assessed Advanced Responder training is for Registrars at the point of Fellowship, Registrars in GPEP or RHMTP, Fellows of the College & Dental Professionals who require training consistent with CORE Immediate.

The training is endorsed by the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners & successful completion entitles participants to 20 CPD credits.

Dynamic blend of eLearning & in person training designed for those who are short on time but big on knowledge. This session is covering CPR Skills, Immediate Responder and Advanced Responder.

Tuesday, 27th January 2026 – 6pm

Face to face CPR training covering CPR Skills, Immediate Responder and Advanced Responder. If you are someone who thrives in a classroom setting & loves learning through interaction, this option is tailor made for you.

West Auckland

Wednesday, 18th February 2026 - 6pm
